unfortunately..a majority of american voters seem to agree with ann coulter..and will vote for bush accordingly..so the country isnt really that divided after all...bushs lies are so obvious that i doubt anyone actually believes them..which means that they could only be supporting bush because they are just plain mean...

I agree. Conservatives bombing babies is infinitely worse than pie throwing.
it's a poor comparison because the liberals i'm talking about attack people because of their beliefs, throwing pies, commiting vandalism... stealing campaign signs... 'booing'. i saw a car the other day with a bush '04 bumper sticker on which someone had actually scratched a hole. now i'm sure there are some conservatives that do the same sorts of things but i have a feeling there are much less. don't ask me to prove it because i can't. it's just an observation i've made from my own experience.
unintentionally killing civilians in war is completely different. those people were not attacked as part of a political statement. you can't use the iraq war for everything you know.

it's a mild attack. the point is not the severity of the attacks but the pretentious smugness it exposes in those who would seek to physically humiliate or silence the expression of another human being with whom they disagree.
As johnny points out - compared to the right wingers murdering abortion doctors and sending poison to their houses it's small potatoes.
that would be a better comparison than the iraq war but not quite there yet. people kill abortion doctors not because of what abortion doctors believe but because of what they do. they want to stop them from performing abortions and scare others from doing so.
someone keying a car because it has a pro-choice bumper sticker would be a better example of what i'm talking about.

I agree with that post for the most part. ^
But, I don't think liberals who do such things are doing it out of smugness as much as they are acting out in frustration with the system and their feeling unable to make a change.
And I imagine youth from down south with conservative views go around vandalizing and causing havoc in the name of politics.
KKK and Lynchings are the extreme.
Racial name calling, hazing, blacklisting etc is more the socially accepted way to lash out for conservatives IMO.
Kids will be kids no matter what side they believe. Even kids in adult bodies like those 2 guys.
