hey how do u know if a shroom is active or inactive... how do u tell them apart

there is a way to tell that takes some chemicals and what not im not really sure but if you look hard enough on this site you should find it, and i would think if you posted a pic of them in the hunting forum they could aid you

Using characteristics of active mushrooms is a good start and also, most actives bruise blue when handled. But some deadly shrooms also bruise this color

There are many different physical attributes, some species its a matter of REALLY knowing your stuff. Read up before you eat up. The mushroom hunting forum is a wonderful resource, but follow the guidelines unless you wanna get your thread

A good start is knowing what more common active species look like. If it looks like one, bruises blue, and drops a dark purple spore print, it passes an initial test. That doesn't mean its perfectly safe of course, post a pic and information including what kind of area it was found in, in the hunting section.
