Why is the text on some websites so SMALL!?!
    #3276093 - 10/25/04 06:41 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

Im having a problem actaully reading some of the text on some of the websites that I go too....Its like a distorted 6-8 size and I usually have to copy the text and paste it to a word document in order to read it!!!! I dont have any of these problems with the shroomery but its seems like quite a few sites have this gliche.
Any ideas?

It's mostly bad website design, I imagine. You can, however enlarge text by pressing "Ctrl" and use the wheel on your mouse to change text size...

Well I don't know what browser you or using or even what version
but in explorer i can go to the menus into view/text size and increase it there.
Maybe try changing desktop resolutions?

In FireFox you can go to options and under the generaly options, click on fonts and change the minimum font size.

Another thing to do...email the webmaster and tell him how much he sucks at design. If ppl can't develope pages to work in the majority of viewing user's browsers then they really shouldn't be doing any web development.

in opera you can zoom in up to 500% I think. If you use opera, the plus and minus will zoom, and the asterix will put it back to 100%.

If your using IE, click on view, text size, and select the size. Also what the other guys have been saying, ctrl and mousewheel will also change the size.

Well thanks for the help, I changed my settings up top to "large" text but for some reason, it keeps defaulting to smallest when I visit different sites?!?

If there's a checkbox to "always use my fonts" or something to that effect, use it. Otherwise it will use the site's font, only using your fonts when the web designer didn't specify.
