yeppers...PF classic. I mainly wanted to post these to let the 'uninformed' know that PFs aren't necessarily the 'red headed stepchild' that everyone assumes. Lots of abhorts 1st flush, sure...but boy were the consecutive flushes beautiful!

did you just sit the casings directly on the pearlite, and i cant tell how your terrium is built, but what do you do about water saturation in the pearlite, with the caseing sitting on it?

I'm assuming you are talking about my cakes, correct?
I never really encountered a problem with it until midway through the 4th flush; a few rotten shrooms. If you set your cakes directly on the perlite, just inspect the bottoms every now and then to make sure there are no pins underneath. Otherwise, I don't see any real problems with it.
As far as casings go, once the casing layer is colonized roughly 1/3 of the way begin misting the surface. Continue to do so until pins form and then just mist and fan the sides of the terrrarium or cool mist or whatever type of setup you wish to use. Only mist the casing surface before and between flushes...

Oh yeah, btw..that pic with my casing is after I had picked the second flush. I wish I had the thought to take the pics a little sooner, 'cause that was a really nice set I had going on in there. Unfortunately, it got trichoderm right after I picked those last couple and the 4th flush only produced 2 average sized shrooms(which were unscathed)...

first flush had many abhorts, but the 2nd flush came right after and was incredible..
Half of those cakes in the pics were of 2nd flush, and the other half were 3rd I believe(it's been awhile).

Holographic mind if you look closer you see the spots of picking.
I must say my classics are rather slow growers, maybe temps aren't high enough but my ecuadors have already produced their first flush and second is coming, but my pf's are pinning and have a few fat ones on them, innoculated at the same time!!

Dude, it is purely childish to have a signiture like that.
People are just trying to make a living, you tell him to "Stop with the puppets", but you are acting as one now.
Think rationally for a minute if you will.
I have a problem with the Captain, he doesnt like the FSR. He has put it down, made his point, ans left it at that. He doesnt say "Fuck the FSR" in every post does he?
He acted maturely, not like some little kid. He did the proper thing to do, make your point heard, make it clear, dont act childishly and put your point across is a good and decent manner. Once is enough to make it heard.
You however, have made a childish effort at placing down the captain with every post of yours. You dont gain any respect from ANYONE by acting like that. The dud is TRYING to earn a living. Yes, I wouldnt buy anything off him, simply as the FSR caters for all my needs, but he still has a living to be earnt, and doesnt need some troll trying to damage it.
You havent explained WHY you shouldnt visit the spore lab, you have no good reason to, you havent put your point across clearly, in a good manner, in an understandable or in an Adult fashion, you've made this stupid comment in every post of your with that particular signiture, and you certaintly havent earnt any brownie points with anyone here.
So lets not get into a bit "Hippie3" argument, just do the "right" thing and change it. Make your point heard maybe in a post in the vendors section and leave it at that.
