first grow all contams?

bow wow wow y'all.
it seems that my entire set of first grow jars may be blown. all tehse cakes exhibit bluing which I at first thought was bruising, but the blue is in places I've not touched.
as well as some of it is green on one cake.
dropping one on the floor whilst taking photographs did not help my disposition...fortunately that was the greenish looking one.
should I toss these all? (some are from diff angles)
it's just frustrating to have put so much time and care into this to have to throw them all away.
guess I'll have to go all out with a HEPA and ultra sonic next time.

still look like bruising. It's gotta be the humidity. Looks awefully dry.

If they keep drying out or bruise, they won't be able to fight any infections... eventually you'll lose all your cakes. I really really really suggest you check and double check your humidity.

They look fine, but a little dry. Since they haven't started pinning yet I say you dunk them.

Dry and causing them to blue where you don't touch. Your still bruising them, just not with your fingers, with your dry air. Take better care of them babies! They like water!

wow, really? that's so awesome! I was going to pin them anyway just to get the conditions right for next time. I sprayed them directly with water a few days ago. I don't know what to do for the humidity except get an ultrasonic humidifier, because this perilite just isn't working! I'm not touching it in that picture, I haven't touched them at all, and dropping that one....well, shit happens but thank you all so much for your professional medical opinions (hee hee) though I do think the one is lookin real green.....but maybe it;s intense blue from being dry? anyway, I will check the faqs/forums for rolling and dunking. hopefully they'll be ok till I get back from class!!!

When you check for green, look under white light. Incandescent light bulbs add a lot of yellow to them and make them look greenish.

I had this problem and had a jar contam'd for nearly three days before I caught it. I was scared and had to clean my whole incubation chamber. I originally thought that the green spot was just my verm/BRF smashed against the glass and didn't think to use white light. When I finally used the light I'm using for lighting the fruiting chamber to examine my jar, I noted a definate green on the bottom of the jar.
Needless to say the jar was taken from the incubator.
Good luck with your situation though, - Silven

definitely looks like bruising, little on the dry side. I agree with the majority on this on. Dunk for about 18-24 hrs. then roll in vermiculite. Did that with all my first cakes (which were just as bruised as yours) and it worked out great. Aside from that, they look like good cakes, keep it up.

If your using perlite, i'd suggest 1" of perlite, and about 1/4" of water on the bottom. Also if you dunk and roll, the vermiculite should maintain a lot of the moisture in the cake. I've been through the same problem, im using perlite as well.

And if using perilite and cakes you should still be misting 2-3 times a day for proper water delivery.

Horrible advice. You dont fuck around with contams. Growing them out will make more and more spores airborn, and harder to kill and track down for future grows. Also will ruin your future grows because the spores are all over the place.
Those cakes are fine. Just very dried out. You need to increase your humidity.
