Its one of my favorite Tool CDs... Its probably better to trip to because the songs are a little more mellow and flowing. Lyrics also a little more positive, not as dark as the other 3. Hey either way its only a little more then an hour of your time :)

Lateralus is cool, except for track #13. Wouldn't want that on my first trip, which will hopefully

Well first off Lateralus is a fantastic CD! Probably one of their best. The cover/cd case if indeed very trippy too! just looking into that shit could bring up a good trip. But i did have an experience with listening to tool and tripping on 5g's. it is also good to listen too when you first take them. it puts you in a relaxed mood. highly recomened!

I just got the album today. Freakin' amazing album! Hydro gives it eleven stars out of a possible score of ten. Spent about 15 minutes playing with the inside cover before ever playing the cd! I was like, 'Oh, there's a CD with this too!' ;-)

After listening to it since the day it came out I think it's great, but I don't think it really stands up to Aenema and the like. Yeah it's got really rrreeallly cool artwork, but unfortunatly thats all most people I ask even talk about. I suppose I was hoping they would experiment a little more in soundscapes and different and new styles, but it sounds a little rather plain to me. Not that it doesn't have it's moments. I won't go into detail as to why or why I don't like it, but to answer the origional question yeah I think it would make a great trip cd.
