pretty impossible to tell from that picture, take a spore print, get some close ups of the caps, stems, and gills.

Alright, theres hundreds of these guys growing under pine trees. Gills are attached, dark colored stems, reminds me of a liberty cap in terms of heigth and the way the caps are, thats what I was thinking that they are. Just noticed them sprouting about 4 days ago, now some have caps about nickel size width.

By the way I just moved here in April and have never noticed them growing here, they just appeared about 4 days ago. And I'm going to try to get better pics, its just they are in a high vis area.

Mycena probobly. Inactive.

If you live in seattle I suggest going out for an afternoon to a few parks. Look for bark chips, the light colored kind, not the dark bark dust red mulch stuff.

Look for caramel wavy caps (psilocybe cyanescens... do some research).

Let us know how it goes.

Yea I have been on the look out for those, any suggestions about what kind of parks? Like county parks, or mountain trails.

City parks. Man made areas. Apartment complexes.

Alright, by the way I went out on a trail the other day, and picked about 30 purplish red caps. The largest caps were about the size of a nickel, with white gills, and the gills were connected. Kinda the same size as I mentioned about the previous ones. Took them back to my buddys apartment and boiled them, and made some tea. I was going to drink just a small amount, but never got the chance. Well my buddy, got drunk that night and brought some people over. One guy drank the whole amount on accident thinking it was tea. He has never done them before, he was watching a movie and said he got really relaxed and felt really good. Any ideas what those were?

Thats very unsafe. I have NO idea what they were from a faint description like that.

I doubt they were actives.

:nonono:  Small purplish red mushrooms? They might as well have been illuminous green becuase don't you know, brown mushrooms are the key . But still you should have requested an I.D. here.
