A few questions on Humidity. (Cakes)
    #3271468 - 10/24/04 01:10 PM (19 years, 5 months ago)

A fruiting chambers humidty will be enough with just perlite? If I spray it every day with water, and make sure to put 6 hours of light on each day? Or do I need to get a hydro thermal humidifier?

How do you humidify your cakes?

If you're not sure, misting once in a while won't hurt.  Just don't mist the cakes directly once there are pins.  Also, it doesn't take much light to induce pinning.  6 hours should be OK. :goodluck:

I dunno, what SHOULD my fruiting chamber sit at? What are some other ways to induce heat? could I just transform my incubator into a fruiting chamber? Same method, as the double tub, aquarium heater?

1. temp should be between 72-76
2. fish tank heater in jog o water works pretty well for a slight adjustment
3. You can use a tub in tub for your fruiting chamber, just make sure it can get light (clear top)... but how are you going to incubate your next batch while the first one is fruiting?
