    #3271276 - 10/24/04 02:06 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

hi

please take a look at my pics of this mushroom i found today in a patch of grass. quick info: 1 inch stem, app. half inch cap. chocolate brownish, velvet-like, shiny, darker coloured nipple, stem base dark brown fading to light brown, no blueing, cinnamon brown/orange gills.

i thought maybe it could be some kind of paneolus, but i dont really know anything..

thanks

It is definitely not a species of panaeolus.
Inocybe or cortinarius are possibilities. It should be considered as possibly poisonous.
Spore print would help. Also mention if there were any trees nearby.

Hello Jeroen,

I see those in the woods here (also Netherlands) a lot as well, under trees in the grass and on rotten wood on the ground.
Maybe it is the same as: ID THIS PLEASE

I dont think it is active in the way you would like it to be..! :p

Found any liberty caps yet?

Bye,
MF

I agree with eris, it looks like an Inocybe. It should be considered poisonous.
