Small sample of some of the neat mushrooms in my yard
    #3270124 - 10/24/04 03:17 AM (12 years, 2 months ago)

well unfortunatly internet limits amount of pics but here are my favourite mushrooms i found yesterday jsut combing the yard. and damn is there a TON of LBM's, mycenas, and agarics everywhere!

Aleuria aurantia. this shit litterally covered about 80% of our driveway last month. it was quite a sight driving down a BRIGHT orange driveway...it was liek a trip in itself.

Definatly one of my favorites, used to be my number 1 fav...but now ive found so many others.
Pseudohydnum gelatinosum

Hygrophorus conicus?

Helvella crispa. these are real cool. i love these things!

Some type of mycena. lots of them, quite pretty.

some type of Coprinus i think. went to black liquid ina few hours sitting in a deli cup.

this russula came up with a lot of ground with it, intow a branch and looked like a little dwarf home or somthing. pic didnt trun out how i wanted it to. but i sat there for a couple hours staring thinking how it coule be a little leprechaun home or somthing...there was lots of stuff in there. yes i was tripping, but it was great fun!

i could keep going but i dunno about this hosting site. peace.

Nice pics there man! I think you do have a hygrophorus there, but probably not conicus.. The umbos are missing. nice finds.

Also, hygrophorus conicus will bruise black very quickly.
I found one today, the whole stem became black even after minimal handling.

Saw hundreds of them yesterday on a clear cut site.

They seem to be coming up everywhere right now!

Odd creations! THey feel so rubbery and look like little cups of plastic all over the landscape!
