A fcouple of questions about casings
    #3269250 - 10/23/04 10:15 PM (12 years, 6 months ago)

1. Some teks say to put the casing back into the incubator until the mycelium grows together, then put it in the fruiting chamber. should I dunk and cold shock before crumbling?

2. Should I put a layer of verm below the crumbled cakes?

If I was you I'd follow Casing 101. It will answer both of those questions, all you have to do is choose which casing mixture to use.

Good Luck.

So, that's a "no" on dunking and cold-shocking before casing?

Dunkings fine cold shocking is not as far as casing and crumbling. You'll just slow your casing run by cold shocking at that stage.
