How did I break the rules?

all i wanted to know is if any grew in the woods. a simple yes or no question.

have you read the hunting forum rules? mushrooms do grow in the woods.. all kinds of them .. simple answer is yes...

If you are talkin about mushies that will make you trip, the answer I think you are lookin for is NO, look in urban environments, landscaped wood chip piles etc.. If you want edible but non psychoactive the answer is YES, go look in the woods. Active shrooms tend to prefer manmade areas and areas of soil disturbance.

Hope that was a simple answer. I think people get ruffled atcyour question because it shows a general lackl of willingness o your part to investigate and learn about shrooms which you should definetly do before eating anything you find. Check out the texts by David Aurora, or as MC said do some Google searchin and learn a wee bit before you dive in. Cheers.

You know, we have a private message function on this board that you could have used to PM me and ask me directly instead of making a new post.

We are not here to "spoon feed" everyone information that can easily be found on our website(or other websites). We're here so that once you've done your share of reading/research you can come and ask us questions that weren't already answered previously(although chances are that your question has probably already been answered and you can find it via the search feature).

That said, this thread isn't really mushroom hunting related, so I'll be locking it.
