even friends get drunk and stupid....
A friend of mine told a stranger at a bar that I was the man to see if he wanted fresh shrooms, He even went as far as to point me out. I told the stranger that I dont grow anymore(I dont grow any less either)
I told my friend not to ever say anything about shrooms and me in the same day ever again.
He sells nugs and would freak if I ever told someone at the bar to go see him!!
If you have your own place and you never tell anybody that you grow, then you will never have to wory about it,
get rid of them where people wont realy know where they came from.

well if you got those type of friends, then don't tell em, i've know these guys for years.

PLus alot of you guys are just too paranoid. If the cops wanted to bust you for growing like 5g of mushies then they would, but dont' caus eits just a waste of resources, unless your into dealing. But if a few people know nothing will happen. Also i don't understand why people here feel that they can out smart tthe gov't(lol some can't even grow mushrooms right) believe me if they want to fuck you over they will.

hubertd.. who said anything about the cops & govt? When do you learn that you have 'those' types of friends? Before or after it's too late? What is paranoid about keeping a secret? Do you share masturbation stories w/ your friends? Tell them how much cash you keep in the house and where? Are your collective fates intrinsically intertwined?

I stand by my advice. Further, I'd suggest you think about why you're taking it so personally. Telling yourself that your safe doesn't make you so.

If you have better advice, I'd like to hear it.

well i don't really dissagree with your advice i'm just saying it depends on you friends and your situation, my situation is pretty good, i'm at a univ. there no one really minds you doing anything, you could tell someone you smoke crack and they would be cool with it, its a far diff. atmosphere then say high school, most of my buddies go there to so everyone is cool with it( not saying everyones, just 2or3 buddies).

"What is paranoid about keeping a secret? " well once you think someone might know, or they make a ref.or joke concerning growing, there comes in the parania. I'm just saying what i've seen witrh some of my friends.

I also love the fact that i can share a nice crop with some of my friends, its a labor of love, so why not share it.

it's great that poser can lay his life on the line with his friends.... i feel sorry for him if/when his walls come crumbling down... paranoia is not bad - it's good, it keeps you out of jail. and if you think you can walk around your "college" telling people you smoke crack with out anyone caring about it i think you might be a little more JADED than miss-informed... and that's exactly what the gov. wants you to be! act like it's nothing! whip it out in the open! and talk about it all the time! TELL EVERYONE! So they can have their way with you. Look what happened to marijuana in the 1930's - it was made illegal because it could put already established buisenesess (oil, textile, food) on the soup line... people like you either become liberals or end up getting sent to prison for life over a couple of hits of acid. You have to remember , poser, that the world is much bigger that your little community college... peace

hubert and I live in Alberta, Canada and believe me, the cops here have better things to do that track down people growing shrooms. The police forces here have fairly limited resources. I read an article last year saying that out of all the tips the cops received here in Calgary regarding suspected marijauna growers, the cops only had the resources to check out 60% of them. That means if your neighbor calls the cops and TELLS them you are growing weed, you STILL only have a 60% chance of getting busted. I have a friend who is a cop and he said as far as he knows, the drug unit concentrates it's efforts on big grow operations that make big headline busts. They are not interested in small ops for personal use. I remember seeing a cop on TV saying he wished everyone he dealt with on a Saturday night was stoned instead of drunk and his job would be a hell of alot easier. Even with all this being said, I still have always believed that it's impossible to be TOO paranoid.

It's a tough rule to follow cause you want to brag about your accomplishments. But that's what is so very nice about our online community. Everyone needs a confidant or their head will explode eventually. Shroomery is a great outlet for that, don't y'all think?

Man all my friends know I grow shrooms. Sure they probably tell other people but here in the UK the police REALLY can't be bothered to follow up leads like that. Not that they'd do a lot if they caught you anyway.

id always get stoned and brag about growing shrooms!!! when the high wore off i felt like an idiot and wanted to go back and say that those fatty eighths i showed them off pan cyans (copes) were fake hightimes shrooms or something and i wouldnt worry about them telling every cocky stoner in the neighborhood (theres alot). i never went back and said that though. someone told me that my older brother thinks i sit around and eat shrooms all day every day. ive only done shrooms 5 times and it took me 3 months to do it!! if you talk about that stuff when youre under the influence wierd rumors get started and you get thought of as something youre not. its some crazy shit how people see you as some fuckin crazy ass drug dealing/growing physco . the people that i live by are pussies and they got like scared of me. its pretty fuckin weird

Another story but 2X. In eigth grade I decided to buy marijuana with a friend. This friend told the whole fucking school because he thought it would be cool. Friday rolls around and he gets called to the office and I do and hour later. And we end up with 1 week suspensions. And I'm depressed for an entire summer wondering why I exist.

Senior year in high school rolls around and I'm still friends with the guy and I want to grow but his little brothers "club house/ treehouse" is the only spot to grow. We go in on it 50/50 and we decide to tell NO ONE. Then when the plants get bigger he starts telling people. When the plants get bigger he starts bringing 2 week updates on polaroid film to school and showing them to everybody. This is a direct quote from my friend "I never knew growing could make you so popular." Luckily we didn't get caught this time, and I told him not to associate me with his speakings, and the harvest was small (3 oz from 3 plants) but it was the finest herb everyone had ever smoked.

What about fellow friends in the area who grow too? If your friends and you both do the same thing you will be fine right? Just as long as it stays in the circle. Also the older you get the wiser and It's mostly young high schoolers that brag. If you have an older group of friends, say like one or two. You should be fine as long as they do the same thing too because they are just as paranoid. Just a thought!

I made the same eggzact mistake when I had some, it may be fun to tell everyone you have some mush growin in your house but trust no one everyone will fucking blab at some point... to a dealer or somein or someone they are trying to impress, you never know.. Think really hard about who you trust with a secret that can fuck you over, at least here in the US. If you go to school I'd reccomend not talkin your ass off about shrooms to prude types too much either I too have earned the nickname shroom boy from some people and have various kids come up and say stupid shit such as "Man I heard you did (this or that) you are fucked up!" Bleh, stress stress paranoia pays off sometimes like everyone seems to say here.
