Hello everyone,

I realize you're all probobly done plently of mushroom identifications for other people, and Im sure they appreciate it,
If it woudlnt be too much trouble I could use a little help identifying some mushrooms I found in my backyard today.
They were found in my backyard on rich soil with various animal dung (deer, raccon, etc.) they were underneath several oak tres in the shade. It rained heavily yesterday and the day before.

I collected various specimens that i believe to be Psilocybe cubensis that vary in size and maturity. I've done numerous spore prints and other basic tests to try and identify the species myself but I'll be the first to say that Im no expert and need some help.

the specimens were found in SE Tennesse today October 21,
-Cap
They have a conic cap.
They are Umbonate.
They are incurved and dark around the edges.

-Texture
They are wet to the touch
They have a smooth dark brown cap that gets lighter and it reaches the edges, but the edges are dark.

The gills are dark brown, close together and are attached to the stalk.
The stalk is white to brown in color and has a distinct drak blue ring near where the cap is attached. The stalks are long and skinny

The wet sporeprint appears to be darkblue to black after 1 hour.
I havent been able to get a dry sporeprint yet, but will attempt to when i can.

I'll post some scans of caps and stems if i can, thanks for you help

Appears to be Psathyrella velutina.

You might want to check out some info on Aminitas and coprinus(inky caps)

Those are nothing really like them.
Aminitas typically have white free or nearly free gills and white spore prints. Coprinus species tend to be fragile and have gills that become liquid with age.

I second Gumby: Psathyrella. They are certainly not Amanita or Coprinus, not even close.

Psathyrellas do resemble Psilocybes but can be distinguished from them by checking for a pellicule (thin sticky skin covering the cap). Psilocybes have a pellicule; Psathyrellas do not.

P. cubensis can be ruled out by wrong habitat and lack of distinct blue bruising.
