I've hunted southeastern Michigan for a few years and never found anything active. We have plenty of tasty mushrooms but we aren't in the right climate zone for any prolific fruiting of actives like the seen in the pacific northwest or in the south.
Panaeolus subbalteatus is probably your best bet for and active find here.
Psilocybe cubensis can be grown pretty easily in the summer with a humidity tent.
