Oregon Coast hunt - Pics

Went to the coast last weekend with my gf, her dad, and stepmom. Puffed alot of herb and went hunting for some chantrelles.
I didn't bring my camera, so I used theirs, which isn't as good as mine. So the pics kinda suck but I did my best.
Enjoy:
Coral tooth:
Eerie:
A monsterous bolete. Weighed well over 3lbs:
Some SLIMY Amanita muscaria:
Our searching paid off and we filled a duffel bag and a paper bag full of chantrelles. They sure were good!:

Well those pics are great man -- don't dis that camera cuz they came out pretty crisp. How you do prep your finds for eating? Do you boil your chantrelles?

Mmmmm. Grub. I had them with rainbow trout that we had caught one year but they boiled them and we put butter on them as we ate.
BTW - How far are ya from Lake Oswego? Lotsa my famliy is there and that area seems very ripe for huntin'.

Im in Salem, about 40 minutes south of Lake Oswego. We are just now getting lots of rain, and the coast was cold and wet. Good condition, I saw lots of mushrooms... even on the beaches in the sand.

Ahh, yes I have made the drive from Lake Oswego to Salem a few times, Salem is very very flat - it reminded me of home in the central california. I remember I saw my first nickle arcade there, and I think you guys have this really cool mall accross the street from your Target - there used to be a REALLY cool Lasertag place there that we go to while frying balls.

Ahhh the Lancaster Mall. They had the arcade right next to the movie theater. And that lazertag place, been there a few times, fun stuff.

Nice pics as always vc77. I was born in Salem. My grandpa and relatives live in Independence, Monmouth and West Salem. I visit about twice a year. It's a small shroom world.

I can't wait for the Azures to start coming in. I live in Portland, so it's just a quick 2 hour drive there. I checked out Hammond & Stevens about 2 weeks ago. Didn't find any azures, probably too early. But did run into these 2 guys from Portland that were picking these weird mushrooms out of the grass & dirt, that they swore were azures. I told them they looked nothing like azures but they just kept on picking them. I hope they weren't poisonous for their sakes.
