if i was a first timer i would stick to the pf tek, here is great site to help you out http://fungifun.org/pf/pf_en.htm and about the race to pick, it doesnt matter--- no one really know what race the most potency has....i think you should stick with some of the easier races like b+,golden teacher,etc..........good luck.

well from what I hear most cubenesis strains are pretty similar. Golden teachers colonized and fruit well for people and were mighty fun... so I heard  Equadors seem to colonize even faster. For your first try I would go with brown rice flour, its the easiest for newbies, like me. If that goes well move on to rye berries or something, birdseed is fine too. If you do a good amount of jars, fruit 1/2 0r 3/4 of em as cakes, and try the rest as a casing. This way youll definately get some mushies even if your casing doesnt work out. If your casing does work youl probably never fruit a cake again.

good luck
