Green markings & drying question
    #3259872 - 10/21/04 11:39 AM (12 years, 1 month ago)

I have been cultivating a strain of Thai from a growkit and my first flush has produced shrooms with a dark green hue on parts of the stem. On some light 'surgery' on one of the shrooms with a kitchen knife this 'growth' appears only to be on the surface of the stem and no deeper. Is this normal? It has got me worried because it looks like mould.

Also I am drying using the tshirt method I came across somewhere on the shroomery. The shrooms are placed inside a dark tshirt with a 60watt lamp shining ontop of them. Anyone tried this method?

I intend to put them into a desiccant chamber after a day or so...however I dont have any wire mesh and am going to place the desiccant at the bottom with a paper towel ontop of it and the shrooms ontop of the towel...is this the right way to go about this?

I really appreciate any response anyone can give me in this regard.

Kind Regards!

PS - I live in england and its pissing down these days (raining alot) will this affect the drying?

Sounds like mold to me too.

Haven't tried the shirt method. I'd go with the desiccant chamber now.

Paper towel method should work fine

yes if your humidity is high there it can slow drying depending on how your drying them.

All creatures tremble when faced with violence. All creatures fear death, all love life. If we can only see ourselves in others, then how could we possibly hurt another creature?

i would avoid the t shirt meth as heat will make them less potent and are you sure that the stems arent just bruised?

i also am a big liar and i tell no truths on this board furthermore when the words i me or my are used i am refering to a friend of a friend
