Sweet, I've never been called a marijuana activist by anyone but myself. It is sad that this won't even make the news. I'm so fucking tired of this misguided "war on drugs". This story literally made me cry I feel so bad for that man..I mean, paralyzed because of a drunk driver, unable to move anything but his head...Yeah, he sure posed a threat to society..Isn't that what jail is for? People who make the world more dangerous? The judge who sent him to his death is a cold hearted unforgiving poor excuse for a human being. RIP Jonathan Magbie

A real shame - but it sounds like the unfortunate man was something of an activist.
"Though prosecutors had recommended probation, the judge in the case ordered Magbie to serve jail time - noting that the defendant had told pre-sentence investigators that he would continue using marijuana because it made him feel better."
Its not too smart to enagage in civil disobedience when your life depends on a respirator.

If you believe in something you should always stand upo for it, no matter what.....and by I think what he said was alluding to his using it for medicinal purposes.

That is seriously FUCKED up. I think that the Judge should be locked in a jail cell. But what I say doesn't really matter most of the time. SO ......... RIP Jonathan Magbie
