The alcohol would probably kill the spores.  You might try a non-alcoholic beer if you still want to try for it.  It's always better to experiment and see how things work out for you, you can learn more from doing then everyone else telling you how to do it.

I can see a world where this is no poverty and no war, I can also see us attacking that world because they would never expect it. :wink:

I tried adding beer to agar and I am sure all of the alc boiled away during sterilization but still that agar would not grow shit. There must have been some heavy duty preservatives in the beer. German beer without preservatives or home brew ought to work.

just get mlat from a home brew store and use malt/water.

i tried it, even boiled off all the alky, but nothing grew.
preservatives mebbe screwed it up.
