Yeah, its great -- gotta love our 20 year drought. I did do my 'Ritual of the Rain' dance, so, I bet that helped.

Yes thanks! Lots of rain here in the East Bay. I was out looking early this morning during a brief in the rain and I think I might have found a patch of Cayanescens... on woodchips. They were rotted and a bit soggy from the rain though.
I am going to check it out again in a couple days though and I'll post for ID.

Yeah, ain't it great to see the rain. We finally got a couple nice storms in Humboldt County, California. I went out on 10/18/2004 and picked three Amanita Muscaria (yellow/orange). Also injured my knee, Damn. Late October is early in my experience for Amanita Muscaria, but there they were, on an island in Humboldt Bay. I dried them for 24 hours at 140 degrees (which is the way to do it for the Red Caps). We'll see what happens. Looking forward to looking for some cyans (for ID purposes ONLY of course). Hopefully in a couple weeks when the knee is better I can get out looking for those beauties. And maybe I'll hobble back to the Amanita fields.

Looked on a 10 day forcast, Bay Area is gonna be as warm as it is now, for a little while at least. There wil be rain every other day or so - but the coldest it looks like it wil get is 49F. It's a 10 day forcast so, there is prolly error margin, and could change.

Thats how my year in Oregon was -- felt like I was living in a green house during the summer. It was also weird not to pump my own gas.
