So, I have four casings in my terrarium, temps 85 with 85-90 rh. Casings have been given light for one week, no pins forming. The mycellium is forming "little fingers" and "reaching skyward", (pointing upwards.) Is this a problem, I am getting concerned because no pins are forming. The temps and rh seem OK. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Sounds about right to me, But if you want your flush to be more even take a little bit of casing material and cover the mycelium that has come threw.

If the fingers are little pilars of mycelium, then you've got the start to pins.

Sounds as if pinn formation is very close, Watch to see if tiny colored heads(usually a dark brown) start to form. Mushroom formation isnt far off at this point.

I have gotten the same xact thing you describe, mine took 12 days to pin with the little pillars. The pillars are just mycelium looking for food, the pins form around them.
