Another Amanita Question...

Basically I just need some reassurance that I am doing everything right, because EVERYBODY told me something different when I was trying to decide how to prepare them.

About two days ago I prepared some Amanitas I had picked by cutting off their stems, scraping out most of the gills, and drying them out in the oven with the door cracked open until they were crispy. (took about 4 hours at 170* F) I then broke them apart into small pieces and grinded them up in a coffee grinder. I now have the powder stored in a couple of jars at room temperature. I plan on making tea or possibly an omelet with of the powder this weekend.

Does anyone see anything I should have done or should be doing differently?

There is a reason I am doing this, its not just recreational, so please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

No just make sure they're cracker dry

You may want to take into account the fact that you scraped the gills with dosage, I've asked questions about this on the forum but got no answers.

When you make tea but it on the lowest or second lowest setting and drink the bits of mushroom on the bottom too - it will make it more potent in that it will come on faster and because you didn't let it start to boil you won't lose any actives. But if you don't care about how strong it will be (I've heard people say tea is twice as potent) the omelette could be really tasty :grin:
