Which way?
    #324997 - 05/24/01 12:47 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

If there is a way to do something.
There is a way to do everything.

If there is a way to do everything.
There is as many ways as there is everything.

There is no way to do nothing, don't you agree? ;)

Agreed.
But we create from nothing.
So nothing exists

aristotelian? err.. nevermind. i plead the 5th! heheheheheheheh, oh my ribs! just being a little inane, ya know? why, the wise sage Chuang-Tzu even said "giggle fits make a man healthy, wealthy and wise when the well's dry as a snug bug in a rug. " (did he say that?)
err.. ummuna... but really, check out Chuang-Tzu, he's a Taoist who revelead his wisdom with his appetite for playing and having fun with language, like yourself, eh?

And I quote Dr. Israel Regardie "NO!!! NO!!! NO!!! A THOUSAND TIMES NO!!!"
For mumbojumbo, jumbomumbo, and a ton of boiled cabbage all = 5, and that's 5 TONS OF FLAX! *

"Everything in the universe is the smell of burnt almonds." Alan Watts

you realize now having created all this that none of us can leave the shroomery now until all this mumbojumbo, jumbomumbo, and boiled cabbage has been eaten? such waste would be a sin against gawd, and well, we'd probably be turned into pillars of salt... or even worse, precious mao buttons.... you find us some spoons, i'll say grace.

"If there is a way to do something.
There is a way to do everything.

If there is a way to do everything.
There is as many ways as there is everything"

And what if 'Everything' is One under the illusion of All, tao, then there should only be One Way, Right? Left? Or most probably and even obviously so,  the Middle. The centre of something and nothing, The division between Observer and Observed. Dot Line Circle, Nothing more to It then That.
If there is One, there must be Two to enable the Other to exist and Be-come Something and or out of Nothing. If there are two there is Three which stands at the middle, to define the opposites. One is the point farthest away from you, Two is the point closest to you, Three is you at the centre as the 'You You are' becomes aware of the .Circle Whole.
Yet it could be said that there as many paths on The Way as there is 'Everything.'

Yes, to myself i may be on one path and I do see it that way. But when i look at others i see that they all don't stop to think why they are heading in that direction. I can see so many people just do things to do things. In the physical realm im living in now i can see that i do many things because i have to. I am forced to. I work because I am made to work.

I have been at a point where i started to question 'Everything'.
I realized that most of the stuff I myself, and the rest of the world, do not have their own meanings for doing things. So if you have no meaning for doing something... Why are you doing it? Then i realized that people who are doing something with no meaning are only doing them because somebody else did. Kind of like a "monkey see, monkey do" sort of thing. Could have been force could have been suggestion.

Making any sense out of this?

Peace,
Droz

*People tell you this, they tell you that.
Which way? =)
Lead your way!*

It sounds good, but it's myth. The free will myth. People firmly believe that upon waking up each morning they are responsible beings, masters of themselves, fully conscious, and that anyone who tells them they are not is a fool or a liar. Tell somebody to lead your own way, and they'll indignantly reply "but I am leading my way!" Do not assume that you are already free and responsible and do not have to work and work HARD to achieve even a small beginning of non-mechanical consciousness and non-robotic behavior.

They use the analogy in India that bringing your mind to one point is like trying to take an elephant that has been wild in the jungle and putting one of those iron bands around its leg and then sticking a post in the ground to tame it. When the elephant suddenly realizes that you are trying to tame it, it gets wilder than it ever was at its wildest in the jungle, and it pulls at its leg and it can hurt its leg. It could break its leg, it starts to bleed, it does all kinds of things before it finally gives in and becomes tame. And this roughly is the tradition of meditation.

I advise that you don't excite people with high-sounding inspirational speeches, especially in order to turn them on with psychedelics. I say that because of the results of my own explorations. Realize that by playing the awakening game half-heartedly (whatever you *think* your intentions are) you can hurt yourself. Be careful. Work hard every day. I wish you luck on your Way.

Ehem...I came up with this while I was really stoned, wrote it on a scrap of paper, and stuffed it in my pocket.
