So I know what Tyvek is used for, but I can't find anything that tells me where to find it, or what it is used for. Could someone please help me out?? Happy trails!!

You can find tyvek at any US postal office. They are those big blue and white envelopes that are thin like a sheet of paper and feel like plastic. You can also go to the USPS website and order to your house for free.

Tyvek is a very durable plastic-like material used to protect buildings which are in the process of being built from the weather and other damage. It's very strong, but extremely flexible. You can get Tyvek envelopes at your local post office for free, and then just chop them up into evenly sized squares that are just large enough to cover the opening.

when you innoc through the tyvek, be sure to cover the hole with a band-aid! they come sterile and still allow air to pass through... added layer of protection.

if you are going to order them from the post office you may want to open a new browser window first so the http referrer isn't a link to this thread.
that's assuming they check their logs but they are the US gov't so you never know.

The non prioity envelopes are only 75% tyvek. It could cause you problems but I've heard of others using it and I'd say your problems lie in other areas.

I'd just like to add that because the tyvek material itself is a breathable protective covering, a small piece of tape over every injection hole would work just as well if not more effectively than wasting bandages.

The idea of using Bandades seemed like a good one. I tried it but bandades are designed to not allow the center to stick to wounds. They also don't stick to tyvek very good. When I used them I got about 30% jars contaimed.
I just use clear tape right off the roll.

Or you can go down to your local post office twice a week and grab 10 priority envelopes at a time, and have enough for life for free.

You don't use one bandaid per jar..cut it right in half, the sticky parts go over the holes not the white part. Tape is more messy. I can just snip a roll of bandaids in half and peel them off as I go. Only snip as many in half as I'm about to use. Very quick unlike finding the end of the tape and cut and blah blah. Keep in mind, I'm doing 2-4 dozen jars a week..it may not be time consuming when doing a few jars but dealing with tape is when doing lots of them. Thats why I stopped using it
