Please Respect the PNW Cyanescens Beds.

Ok, I realize that a blanket angry post is not cool, so I'm not going to do that. I mean to address one specific asshole picker in the Seattle area. Look, the spots are in public places, so I hold no rights to them. But, please do not ever rape spots like you did yesterday and earlier in the week. You know better-I mean the Arb. The mycelium has been removed as well as the pins that I've been watching and respectfully harvesting for three weeks now. There are plenty o'shrooms without having to be a baby killer. I've seen someone who removes little scoops of mycelium cautiously and that's cool I suppose. But the M.F'n idiot who massacred potential healthy adult caps should suffer a slow growing tumor death which leaves him unable to move his fat ass away from the P.C.

Got a question about a substance?  Erowid might already have your answer! Have questions about the  mushroom experience? The  Tripper's FAQ may have your answer or someone else might have had your question before.

It was probably just a newbie mushroom picker who didn't know any better; this of course depends on your meaning of "massacre".

Bummer! Sorry that happened.

That would be hard to deal with. I realize it's public land and all...but it's hard not to get kind of attached to your spots I would imagine.

I had that happen in the best Chanterelle spot I've ever known. I think it was pros who came through and left NOTHING untouched.

It is a good thing to repect the spot you get your goods from. Especially from the earth. IMHO

Peace~

Yeah thats shitty man, as of now I only know one small patch and would hate for the pins to all be gone and ripped up when I go back.

I didnt pick mine too well since it was my first time (left too much stem because I didnt want to tear up the patch and people were around so I was hurrying) but what you describe just sucks.

Private spot, it's in the works. I've got a bitchin' backyard. I am mostly pissed because It won't be worth going back there this year. This is a call for common courtesy.

at least you don't have to worry about the main habitat your mushroom grows in being mowed over constantly , especially after it rains which is when they grow( but so does the grass :frown: )

Hi Borialis, I too caught a young homeless street teenager and his girlfriend where I took you and they were ripping handfulls of babies and the grass fromt he ground areas as well as mulch. I bitched at them and they klinda told me to go fuck myself. Thye had a bag of about three pibunds of babies and were shreading the area where we went.

Didn't go to the arb this year. Getting to old for lonf walks after hiking in rice padies for four months this summer.

mj

Have a shroomy day to you and your family,

mj
