first timers sees pins

SWIM birthed a PF MR cake early Sunday morning before seeing in vitro pinning. Put it into a sterilite terrarium at 73-77F with 99% humidity. Put ice packs under the terrarium a few days ago. Little mycelia bumps that started growing are now positively confirmed as pins.. about six little 1/4" pins with very light grey heads.
I'm guessing it'll take 3-4 days before these guys really take off?

yup, give it few days and you'll be happy, just make sure you take of the abhorts or theyll rot and stuff, once you see the abhorts stop growing just pop em in yur mouth or something... 99% humidity is a bit high from what i understand, but as long as waters not condensating on the cakes you'll be fine, a good indication of high humidity is the stems will grow abnormal and have small streaks on them going up along the stem, and mycelia will grow on the bottom of the stem, if you see this, try to lower the humidity a bit... other than that i think your set, good luck with your grow.

Hrmm.. no condensation on the cakes.. yet. What's a good method of reducing humidity in a perlite-filled sterilite tub? It's pretty much full on from what I can tell.

fanning is the way to lower humidity. you could also crack a corner of your lid/plastic. youre shooting for 85-90% humidity during fruiting.

if you incubated during spawn run, the temp should be around 8-10 degrees cooler, this drop in temperature helps to signal the mycelia that its time to fruit, along with drop in c02, and light.
