Light and dark are different aspects of our nature that should be balenced. Neither is better than the other, both are valuable, but one must strike a balence to maintain proper sanity.

"A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That's control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That's abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

Yes!

Balance is key for mental and emotional stability. If you put light beings above you in idol worship and the dark beings beneath you in fear and discust they will both feed on that energy until you figure it out.

Neither is greater or lessor then you. Each represent a facet of the self denied through polarity judgments. Their value in existance is to teach you that, to get you to see and accept both aspects within.

Doesn't mean you take them in possesion style. The ones external of you are just symbolic of the energy within being denied out of feeling not good enough or to good for.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. ~ Albert Einstein

That's a good point relative to imbalance. If the dark receives and the light gives and if you fall out of balance and only take without giving, you may end up proverbially "dark".

Hoarding the light in turn creates the display of darkness
