Hey folks- First, thanks to everyone who's helped me get going this far. I have a casing that's doing pretty good, but there are tiny patches of dark green contams, which are spreading but not fast. Is there anything I can do? Can I still mist with H2o2/H20 or will the h202 harm the pins? Also, how often should I mist? Any suggestions would be great.

Someone will elaborate on this but since noone has posted a response yet, I've seen many people advise cutting and salting, look in the contam forum for a method on fighting trich.

I'm sorry to say that once green mold gets under the surface of your casing and is poking thru in other places. Your casing is not going to win. Because what you see on the surface is only about 5-10% of what is growing under the casing. Green mold is very much like iceburgs floating on the ocean. You only see a small part of the whole.
Good luck and mabey you will get one flush

You can if it's your only one cut out and use baking soda. But I suggest chucking it outside and either pasturizing correctly next time or expose your casing to less contams next time. Maybe your fanning more than 20-30sec.at a time? Or simply plagued with high spore loads in which case isolate your lab/growroom and get a HEPA going in the area. either way GL and welcome!

We have all been there with the green shit, sorry man, chuck it out. Next time bake your casing mixture in the oven @ 325 for 30 minutes. It took me a few times of casing to figure that out. since then I have only had one casing that got contam.

They will all comtam if you let them go long enough 8th flush is where the mean green rears it's ugly head for me, now they go OD after 5-6 flushes. No more contams here, knock on wood!

well shit... i was excited. There are a lot of healthy looking pins on it already and they're growing fast. Should I just wait it out and get what i can? Also, can i sterlize verm in the microwave and if so, how? wet or dry? I'm going to case a couple more here in the next day or 2 so any tips would be great.

Okay... I think you aren't alone on this though.. I've posted this link 2 times in less than 24 hours. so, it's common. But I do agree with others... Toss it if you can afford it. But this will still be a good reading.
The use of salt in fighting trichoderma mold
Good luck.
