Your consciousness is not "separate" from the rest of the Universe.

I was not talking about consciousness. If internal reality does not match external reality, then I would contend that they are "separate", but is sounds as if we are bypassing the "real" question over semantics.

If I believe that you are a murderer and in fact, you are not, then the two realities do NOT match. These conflicting viewpoints are NOT conjoined in some internal / external harmony. It is not a matter of consciousness, but of misinterpretation.

Yes but I'm saying our consciousness is not separate from "external reality"...because "reality" includes everything in the universe. Or do you believe that your consciousness is separate from your body, Swami?

While I understand what you are saying, I prefer the term "delusion". Your stance muddies the waters and then we get into the mind-numbing "All beliefs are valid." nonsense when you crack that door open.

Real - that which is, not that which is whatever one thinks at the moment.

Swami - I think it was Philip K. Dick who said "reality is what remainds after there is no one left to percive" so how will you define what is real, what is?
