casing question

I am going to be casing in plastic containers that are approx 18x6''. Am I going to have to make up 24 jars to be able to make a suitable substrate level in each (12 jars per container), or is 6 jars per container sufficient. If this is posted somewhere, I apologize, I couldn't find anything.

What size jars? 1/2 pint jars? 6-8 I'd say should give you around what you'd need I'd venture to say.. You want substrate thats about 1 1/2 inches thick..little more will give you little bigger shrooms.
