Ramsey Seal ?

I was wondering if the Ramsey methed of sealing your jars with alluminum filled with vermiculite was a better method than the normal vermiculite only? Or does it really make much of a difference?

About a week ago, we had a long thread on the very same topic, I believe it was called "Ramsey Seal Users- Show Up!!!!" The general consensus seemed to be that was no general consensus. Some people like the seal, some people hate the seal. Go find the thread and read about it if you want to know more. By the way, there is a search function here that will let you look up old threads on a subject. If you had just typed in "Ramsey Seal" you would have found that thread. It is usually a good idea to do a search before you post a question.

The search option is kind of confusing. You can find the old thread if you search for the word "Ramsey", make sure it searches for "entire phrase" and not "or", and searches posts from the past month.

There is now a new(actualy the old, like it was at UBB) search function implementad, that searches only for threads and shows only threads in flat mode.
