Pinning Shrooms..

From what I understand.. your jars in the dark until colonized... then add to casing mix.. and keep that in the dark until colonized... then add a 12hr/12hr light/dark cycle.. How should this be achieved? Direct Sunlight? Neutral light -- living room w/ lamps & windows? Lamp? Flashlight? Lantern? Catch my drift?

Almost any type of light will work. The optimum is either flourescent or natural. If you have a glass aquarium then flourescent is probably the way to go. Natural sunlight can heat up a glass aquarium too much and harm whatever might happen to be growing inside. As long as you can see your cakes or whatever there is enough light for them to be able to grow.
