Grow mode to fruit mode back to grow?
    #3243463 - 10/11/04 04:26 PM (12 years, 3 months ago)

I had a bunch of old jars that I had forgotten about. They were in a cold room (approx 70 degrees most of the time) but were still covered in darkness and had not been opened. I decided just to case them to see if I could get something out of them. The only thing I noticed was that they had started pulling away from the walls of the jar. Anyway, I cased them and got no growth into the vermiculite. My question is.. once the mycelium has colonized a jar and been put in cold temps, do you think that's enough for it to put the mycelium into "fruit mode" and is unable to go back into "grow mode" even though it hasn't fruited anything or had light or excess oxygen?

If it was enough to put it into fruit mode they would have fruits on them. If I had to guess, I'd say they were dehydrated. You never mentioned dunking them when you should have done.

i had always heard by keeping mycelium cold for long periods of time it will slow or stop all growth..but not actually kill it..im not sure on this one
