no sugar/caffeine with shrooms?

I've read not to eat/drink anything with sugar or caffeine in it when your doing shrooms, why exactly is that?

Not true. People probably say that they're stimulants. I personally might not drink caffeine before a trip but sugar being a stimulant/making you hyper is an ancient myth. It's like suggesting that eating serotonin capsules from the healthfood store releases serotonin in your brain and 'makes you feel like you're rolling.'

i was told by the man in the mushroom shaped hut in amsterdam that sugar will bring you back from a trip. i noticed this did happen after me and my roomate were tripping, and we both ate a handful of sweetarts. we both came back in 5 minutes, and just felt a lingering high all night. of course if this is all just psychosematic or not is another question.. in my experience sugar does bring the trip back down, so i avoid it any time after ingesting shrooms.
