Salvia Plant update from Namaste
    #3242950 - 10/11/04 02:52 PM (13 years, 7 months ago)

first off Namaste, thank you very much for being so generous and kind.

My salvia cutting had a small little sprout with leaves so small .. maybe .5cm long..

Now there are two sprouts, one has a leaf that is 2cm long by 1cm wide. I can already see a second set of leaves coming in.

The other sprout is very small, but its growing.

I'd say my plant is going to thrive.

Once I get a digital camera I will be taking pics.

Edit: The second set of leaves coming in on the seedling look exactly like these from sagewisdom: http://sagewisdom.org/salvlf.html

They have the same serrated edges.

Sweet, when i get all the final results I'll post a paper describing the process and all of my new ideas. It has been frustrating, it has been fun, and I sure glad I did it.

You're very welcome.

well, I mean leave it alone. Plant it in a good sized pot in well-draining soil, water it when the soil dries out and keep the bugs away from her - especially white flies. You're going to do more harm than good if you are constantly playing with it and worrying about whether it is doing well. Salvia Divinorum can adapt to many environments and it does so very quickly. For the most part there is no need for misting or humidity tents.
Your little plant will be a big happy plant in no time. Have fun with it.
