John Stewart brought up a very good point recently.
Tom Brokaw and CBS somehow somewhere got labelled a 'gate', like Watergate or some similar high-profile political scandal.
There's no denying, despite any political leaning you have, that those in the Bush Administration have been wrong, stated lies, or simply large inaccuracies.
Why hasn't any of this gotten the 'gate' term? How bout Abu-gate? How bout WMD-gate?
Either a) the term is too lame to survive and was executed for lameness years ago OR b) the mass media/politicians downplays everything in terms of creating blame and hype over a huge deal, in order to not bring attention to it.
What do you think?
