I'm well aware that the majority of people out there do not get high their first time smoking marijuana. (Anyone know why by the way?) Is the same true with mushrooms--will a person usually not trip the first time? Or are mushrooms like X--you often find yourself striving to recapture the essence of the first experience?
I tripped my balls off the first time I did mushrooms, and it was one of my best trips. I've never tried(or felt the need) to recapture it on any other trips, because a trip can vary so much from another. If the setting and people are completely different, you cant expect it to be anything like a previous time you did them. I've since had many wonderful experiences on mushrooms, and I've yet to truly have a full on high level trip(4 grams was the most I've done, but I was a bit young at the time, and smoked too much weed, so the entire trip is really blurry to me now). The trips I intend to have from now on are for personal and my own development purposes only, but I really dont think it's that hard to have a wonderful trip no matter how many times you do them(considering you eat them in moderation, that is)
People generally don't get high their first time smoking pot because they don't know how to inhale it properly. At least thats what I think.
As far as shrooms go, like CannonPants said they can be completely different one time to the next, based on many things. But I see no reason why the first time would be less of an experience, simply because its the first.
