Is San Pedro og the Torch the fastest grower? And how about the alkaloid
levels?

San pedro is about the fastest though peruvianus (torch) is about as fast. They seem to have equal levels of alkaloids. I prefer pedro though I have both and bridge too. Bridgesii is too slow growing and subject to rot. Pedro from seed is slow but it's good to have some going. I still have pedro seeds and cuttings if anyone wants to swap for them. From seed you are looking at probably 3 years to useable size but it makes more sense to let it go longer. If you start with pedro cuttings you get a head start and can avoid the first couple years of seedling growth. I think it's best to have both, seedlings for long term and cuttings for not so long term. I've been mostly planting my cuttings to bulk up my garden so that someday I could take a few pounds out of it every week and never miss it.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” (attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville political philosopher Circa 1835)

you could try to get ahold of somet perekeposis cuttings which you can graft seedlings onto for very fast growth. search aroundt he shroomery for una's post on perekeposis growth with pachanoi.

Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

I'm in somewhat of the same situation. I'm pretty sure I'll be going for San Pedro myself though. Still have to look into the setup but I'll probably be getting it from someone in the martketplace, I'm guessing.

My pedros growing shitloads faster then my bridgesii. Bridgesii looks cooler though. Some say bridgesii is stronger then pedro but I haven't noticed this.
