You cant make yourself come down. Just know that you will naturally, which should have a calming effect in itself

i read some one post that in adam. they give you a package of "high powered" vit-c when you purchase shrooms, and they say to take it to help make you calm down ( if your buggin ), i always thought that was funny cause when we were kids we used to take vit-c when we tripped thinking it would make you trip harder. hahaha.
also i just watched a documentary on lsd and they said they would give people niacin to help them come down, dont know if this would have the same effect on shroomers, but its a b-complex vit. so i dont think taking some would hurt.
also not that it would make you sober but to make you calm down Valium, xanax, etc.
back in the day if you went to the er they used to shoot you up with thorazine, i rather be jumpin around crazy than be a zombie.
i had a friend once that was wiggin out bad ( screaming and holding on to bushes so that he didt fall off the planet! in public none the less, really really bad ) and i convinced him that drinking a little milk would make him stop trippin, he drank some and boom he started to calm down, after that he was fine like nothing happened, i knew i was bullshitin him but i figured it was all in the mind anyway, so you can trick people into tricking themselves into coming down, hahaha.

the best thing, ive found, is to get the person away from any distractons and let them know that ur there and ur watchin out for em, and for them to enjoy the trip, and not to worry, its just the shrooms

the only time i've been WWAAAAAAAAAAYYY too high i had no idea what calming down was...so i wasn't able to do it. i had no concept of anything logical so the only way of calming me down would be to knock me out with a brick to the side of the head.
when i'm too high or drunk i usually think about how i never want to feel how i'm currently feeling and i sit there and bare it, usually trying to go for a walk, but when i'm past that i like to put my headphones on and lie down...i usually pass out and wake up very relieved in the morning from there.

im not sayin it was easy by any means to convince this dude to do anything, he was holding on to bushes trying to keep himself from flying away!!! and he was screaming uncontrollably!!!, id say it took two hours or so calm him and we had two dudes watching him at all times, i was so tired of dealin with this dude i did consider the ol brick to the head trick, problem was this guy had been hit by bricks before and he wasnt that affected by it, haha.

hmm something from Fear and Loathing I remember...thorazine? to stop an acid trip....I dunno if this is true, however.
P.S. Cops would sober your ass up! (or make for a terrible psycotic episode)

oh no thats what the hospital gives people when thy are fishin out, losin control, its also a common drug given at lock down mental wards. niceee...

Be sure to only talk about what you KNOW.
Suggesting things you aren't sure about could lead to trouble down the line.
If you aren't sure, do a little research before suggesting a drug.
Personally, I think anyone who takes shrooms should make sure they have 6 free hours.
The trip will end in 6 hours.

I was told that they give Thorazine when you are trippin out, and in a hospital.... When you can't keep control of yourself in a violent state of mania, and they are fearing for their safety, they shoot you with thorazine.... What I was told is that it is one of the worst things they can give you.... You turn into a drooling fool, and can't really move, BUT you are still tripping in your mind.... That would have to turn it into one of the worst trips ever.... I dunno~ this first hand, but this subject was brought up before in a different thread....

i didnt mean that meds could stop the effects of the drug,and i agree you shouldnt take meds on shrooms, or shrooms on meds, im just suggesting what doctors do to attempt to counter a person who is out of control, (most 99.9% of the time, just waiting and chilling is fine, i agree with a six hour rule) but if doctors get a hold of you and you cant tell them your ok its likely they will try to give you something like the above mentioned, again i dont think taking tranquilizers on shrooms is a recipe for a good time, unless you like funny dreams.

I don't think they use thorazine anymore. im pretty sure most places will use some kind of benzo to try and bring you down

its ok mang, i just wanted to clarify myself (butter), and i bet you would still trip if they gave you a tranq. you just wouldnt be able to do a whole hell of a lot ( k-hole / trippin ) yikes!! thats probably what hell is like.

I think the idea that you can take something to control the trip probably generates a positive placebo effect. What I mean is, when a trip 'goes wrong' you feel out of control and just wish you never took those shrooms. Now if someone's told you that standing on your head, or taking a bunch of vit c, or drinking a cup of water, or whatever, will bring your trip under your control and you don't know any better, aren't you likely to feel a lot better anyway, even if chemically you've done nothing that will stop the trip?

Theres a lot of truth to that theory, just as one can suddenly feel the effects of a trip to a more intense degree merely by suggestion.

thorazine turns you into a zombie... it is for the DOCTOR's safty... not yours... you'll still be tripping. if you HAVE to tone it down a notch try a benzo. but I'm a beliver in riding it out.
