ID help??? Maybe found some???
    #3237443 - 10/09/04 10:03 PM (13 years, 7 months ago)

You guys know I am determined!

I found copious amounts of these under a willow today at various stages.

Still struggling with close ups...but got a few that will work for you to identify.  Spore prints are in the works.  At least these look more hopeful than others I've found.

Another cloer look!

...and still another......

Just wondering.  Gonna go visit my land tomorrow to see how things are doing with the new rain.  Had visitors the last few days and have not been able to hike much!

Hope you all have a soggy night!

Thanks for any feedback!

Well to me they look like a species of Coprinus, check for a spore print? should be black if I'm right, and the gills should become inky.

Not active if that's what you're wondering.

Well sheeaaatttt!

I was hoping since they were all gooey and blue I might have actually found them! Gills were detached though. Looks like the actives all have attached gills!

Spore prints black/purplish...DARK!

Onward!

Coprinus micaceus. Not active. Poisonous when alcohol is consumed withing 3-7 days after eating them. Not worth anything, really.

Copius coprinus. Inky caps. Stay determined and happy hunting.
