debate polls are in..bush *didnt* win after all...
    #3235971 - 10/09/04 11:07 AM (12 years, 10 months ago)

at the time of this post (10/9 @ 1105 EDT) ..

CNN .. kerry 74% bush 23% tie 3%
MSNBC ..kerry 64% bush 36%
faux news ..bush 53% kerry 46%

gallup poll ..kerry 47% bush 45%

the gallup poll..however..admits that repoops were over-represented in its sample ..

Quote:

The reason the overall figures show only a slight advantage for Kerry, despite his greater margin among his own party and winning the independent vote, is that the sample of viewers had more Republicans (38%) than Democrats (32%) or independents (30%). Also, the sample of viewers support Bush over Kerry in the presidential race by 50% to 46%.

That cannot be right. Those numbers are lower for Bush than the first debate.

CNN says it's a 47-45 tie. http://www.cnn.com/

You were looking at unscientific viewer polls. Yahoo had a similar number.

^ that was the last poll i posted...

ABC news ..kerry 44%.. bush 41%.. tie 13%...

unfortunately..while bush cannot be said to have won the debate..he prolly did win the parts he needed to win the election...bushs'
temperment during the debate..however..was especially worrisome..and proves that kerry was right about bushs' inability to make proper judgements...more unfortunately still..that might be the reason bush is so popular...

Ive said this on other threads, I dont listen to POLLs because they are not an accurate representation. They only show the people that actually participated in the POLL and that can vary based on who watch's the station. I think you should decide who won for yourself otherwise you are just giving one more reason why the electoral college is needed.
