Risk-taking Behaviors (bad, bad, bad)
    #3235104 - 10/09/04 01:23 AM (12 years, 2 months ago)

Just thinking how the shroomery reflects my life.

I like to go to starbucks, and this compares to the pub.  I like to play pool, which would compare to OTD.  And I like to go to church and I practice law and talk to other attorneys, a few of whom are enlightened, and this would be S&P.

I'm going to go play pool.  I shouldn't, because tonight I discovered that one of the tail lights on my car is out.  And I've had a few *hic* drinks.  But I am bored, and there's nothing worse than a bored ADDer.

*waves bye-bye*

p.s.  If I don't come back and write here later, it's because I was pulled over on account of the dead tail light, the cop sniffed a whiff, and I'm now in the hammer.   Fuck 'em, I've got a base ball bat under my driver seat.

I keep a tanto (Japanese long dagger) under my driver seat.

Drinking and driving sucks.

If there was anything in my real life that even remotely compared to the Shroomery, I don't think I'd ever come here.

Okay, I'm back.  The regulars weren't there.  WTF are they??  How can thye be there every Friday night except tonight???

Maybe it's a good thing.  I'm home, I didn't get pulled over, and I'm not in jail.   Life is good.

However, I met a guy tonight in starbucks, right before I was about to leave, and it is very interesting that his beliefs on life and God sort of coincide with my own.

What's funny is that I see him there a lot, but I have never talked to him becuase he looks so "established".  Turns out that he's just an introvert.  He doesn't talk to anyone unless someone talks to him first.

So I of course spoke with him first, because I had decided that based on seeing him there a few times, this meant that we should know each other.  Well, he knows a lot.  I told him, after about 30 minutes, to hold his thought.  Wasn't in philosophy mode right then.

Large blunt objects usually come in handy at the perfect times. I don't know about being threatened with a piece of wood though. Do us all a favor and don't drive while drunk. It doesn't make you cool.

I wasn't drunk at all.  It's just that I had had a few drinks.  I drove just fine.  However, if I had been pulled over because of a dead tail light, and the cop caught a sniff, even if I wasn't driving bad, I would probably get hauled in.

Anyways, alls well that ends well.  The place where I play pool is within a few  minutes of my home.

And I'm happy to be back here.

shure you drove fine but your reaction speed was definately less good than when sober. so if you could have hit the brakes just in time when sober you could have been too late now and that shit could cost someones life (or your own), think about that next time you decide to drive after a few drinks.
don't drive with alcohol in you

Who jacked this thread? I thought this was in OTD.....

Frog, don't drive while legally intoxicated, even if you're able to do the task. It's not worth the time and effort to deal with the punishment. Trust me.

I don't think I was legally intoxicated. The only risk I was taking was that I had had a few drinks and I could have gotten pulled over because of a stupid tail light. I don't usually drive drunk. Well, I have driven drunk, but not very often. I usually go with my friend, who doesn't drink. Before I started playing pool n shit I was married and didn't go out at all.

legally intoxicated means .08 BAC. Depending on your body weight, thats like 2 or 3 drinks, you dont have to feel drunk. However, I wont preach to you, thatd be hypocritical. DUI is bad tho. Id rather get caught with weed posession than get a DUI
