No, I think he did pretty well.

From the last 10 minutes I saw, it looked like Bush was pretty desperate. His nervous ticks were in full action.

He did better than last time, but I still would consider Kerry to be a much better debater and to have won this one also

I was surprised about how well Bush did. He was very alert. I'm very certain that he was on some sort of upper. I don't remember many times where he was searching for something to say. He seemed confident and unintimidated by Kerry.

The son of satan spoke well this evening. The only time I remember him fucking up royally was when he said "If my opponent was President, Saddam Hussein would still be in power and the world would be better off."

Yeah that's what I thought. He must have been on something. He wasn't speaking in his usual way either (where he says a sentence slowly and then pauses).

I think his anger has just built up so that he now talks quickly and more offensively

He seemed extremely angry at parts of the debate, like he was trying to control it. He cut off the moderator a couple times I believe because he was so anxious to respond. On the other hand, Kerry was mellow and relaxed, but deep and better at responding. If Bush is on coke, Kerry was stoned

I know the way he speaks. I could tell that his mind was working much faster than normal. He was tweaking.

Interesting you should say that.  I suggested the very same to my mother with whom I was watching the debate.  What brought that thought to mind was not only Bush's uncharacteristic energy and talkativeness, but it almost appeared as if he was grinding his jaw/teeth at points throughout the broadcast.

At any rate, I think this debate was well too close to proclaim a 'winner' per se.  Just skimmin' through the after-debate discussions on the various TV networks revealed that each interviewie simply stated that the candidate of his or her choice (that is to say, political affiliation) was the one who 'won' the debate.

There is no question in my mind that Bush's performance tonight was quite improved.. however this race is still way too close to call and I just hope that we won't have to deal with dubya much longer, and I believe Kerry could easily take the title

I would stake my life on it. I know he was tweaking. Hell, Kennedy used to get shot up with amphetamine all the time(among other things), so it's nothing new.

He was either tweaking tonight, or this was the one night in which he didn't smoke a blunt before a public appearance.

Bush said the same old shit. Kerry owned him again.

On the subject of drugs, the first look at him when it began he seemed to be very relaxed. As it progressed, even though Kerry wasn't ripping into him until later on, you could tell he was getting antsy, fidgety, his little outburst...

fiending for another rail, Mr. President?

Well, to be fair Kerry said the same old shit too.

I noticed there was a correlation between Kerry talking directly at Bush and Bush getting fired up. If it was me, somebody looking me in the face and talking shit like that would get me pretty mad. Kerry was able to push Bush's buttons in the first debate but this time it didn't work.

Towards the end of the debate you could tell both were getting very tired from standing, esp. Bush whose performances changed the most. He let himself get fired up by Kerry and burned up his energy too early.
He still did better than Kerry who is starting to remind me of Al Gore.

I noticed Bush seemingly grinding his teeth a lot also. I would say Bush improved very much this time, which is what made the debate much closer this time. I don't think he owned kerry at all though.

since I am in speech class I noticed alot of this similar body language... Bush would stand up for like 20 seconds instead of sitting down when Kerry started talking.. Kerry was not sitting straight part of the time and several times he corrected his posture, he also kept right right leg rested on the chair leg..

It was funny, the question to Kerry was " Look into the camera and tell the people this:" and he did not even look in the camera the whole time

anyways, Bush likes meth , and I have much suspicion of Kerrys pot use in Nam( and before his speeches  ) .. either way, they are both sleepers, and the whitehouse is bogus

Take it like men fellas. This pussy footing is unbecoming even of liberals. John Forbes Kerry was outmaned. If Bush is as pathetic as you say, that really says something. And John Kerry is a MasterDebator. If Bill Clinton would have Masterdebated more often he could have stayed out of trouble.
