Bill O'Reilly on The Daily Show

I gotta say...this guy keeps impressing me when he comes on other shows. On his own show he comes accross as an over-opinionated asshole willing to yell at his own guests.
Yet here he is on The Daily Show saying things like "oh, I was stoned when I said that..." and "I've never seen a green room like yours before...never seen a green room with bongs in it!".
Does he just put on a show for all the FOXNews viewers or what?

hes just trying to trick people into thinking hes not biased. He says he's undecided but Im sure he'll vote for Bush. His interview with bush was a joke, and afterwords, he commended the president on answering questions of which he had no previous knowledge. Thats the definition of an interview, not worthy of recognition. His interview with kerry should be interesting.

Yeah I'm interested to see how he handles the interview with Kerry. If it goes pretty much the same as the Bush interview, would that indicate that he IS undecided?

If Oreilly commends Kerry on national television for answering simple questions as he did Bush, then I'll be convinced that hes undecided. However, that probably wont happen. Oreilly is an outspoken conservative, why would he vote for the most liberal senator in congress?
It was refreshing to see him admit to Bush's flaws on the daily show. But his constant references to marijuana made it seem as though he was trying too hard. He should have quit after the 1st comment about being stoned.

I have watched O'Reiley for years. He is a conservative but he is an independant thinker. I'd much rather hear the conservative viewpoints of O'Reiley than Sean Hannity. At least O'Reilley explains the logic behind his opinions. At least O'Reilley explains why he believes something. O'Reilley usually sees through the talking points and does his job well. I can communicate better with my conservative friends because of watching Bill O'reilley. I understand there is logic behind the true conservative viewpoint. There is even logic behind the Religious Right. People that say O'Reilley yells, and is evil, and a pawn for GWB obviously don't watch his show very often. Clips without context are misleading. The O'Reilley I saw on the Dailey Show last night was the guy I see on FOX news... although I do think he admitted he was still undecided to eat a little crow for the "Stoned slackers" comments. I encourage everybody who is interested in pollitics to look at both sides of the argument. O'Reilly is a great was to learn about conservatives. He really is more independant than is popularly believed. I can't believe O'Reilley admitted to John Stewart that Bush is blinded by his beliefs that Iraq was the right war.

Both O'Reilly and Stewart have said it was just a joke. I think some people are taking it a little too seriously (though, interestingly enough, Stewart's audience seems to understand it's a joke).

O'Reilly seems in control of himself until he talks to someone he doesn't agree with.

He made those pothead remarks because earlier, i think on his show, he made comments about all of John Stewarts viewers being stoners. I think he was just kind of saving face.
I watched that too, it was funny when he called John a pinhead.
