Knots?

FOAF just sent me these pics of a cake he has in a jar. He is wondering if the white finger looking things are knots that are going to turn to pins or just fuzy myc growth.

looks like rhizomorphic growth to me. As to whether they'll turn into knots I have no idea.

I've seen cakes do this too but could not get a good answer from anyone here.
What is that crazy white lumpy goodness. Is it cobweb or mycellium. and if it is myc then is it bad or good that it is Doing that.

mudvayne called it, it's mycelium. just be patient and give it proper conditions, and you should soon see fruits.

Fluffy myc is just a result of high humidity. It's fine for cakes.
