help with innoculation...
    #323284 -

AFOAF has about 6 cups of liquid mycelium medium ready to go. She plans to innoculate quart jars of whole millet mixed 2 to 1 with distilled water and pressure cooked @15pds for 1 hour. Should she put h2o2 in the liquid medium before transferring and if so how much for each 2 cups? Also how many cc's of medium should she put in each jar of millet? She put 1 1/2 cups of millet and 3/4 cup water in each jar before pressure cooking. Which fills each jar about 2/3rds of the way.

Also, she plans on innoculating through the filter and aluminum foil on top then taping the hole, is this a good idea?

Thanks for any help!

1 - 2 cc`s of peroxide per 1 cup liquid. Yes, the peroxide goes in first. I`d inoculate with 5 - 10 cc`s per jar. Her inoculation method sounds fine.

OK, I hope my friend didn't screw this up. But she just looked at the syringe and the measurments are in ml's, she put two ml's of h2o2 in each 2 cups of liquid medium, did she just kill it all?

ml's and cc's are the same as far as units of measure go.
