Hi, I wonder if a crude extract of Fusarium fujikuroi (Gibberella)without purification could be use in a hydroponic system (or better in soil) in addition of nutrients ?
Fusarium fujikuroi's mycelium is easy to grow and because of the price of gibberillic crystal , it would be a good way for large amount , for outdoor purpose for example . But maybe all protein from the mushroom could be a problem , especially in soil where no good wash is possible . How and do u think it could be possible to infested a field of weed ? or its just a dream? PS: living culture available HERE

These fungi produce a problem known as "Foolish seedling syndrom," they grow real tall and fall over and die. Gibberellic Acid must be used in small quantities and i just don't think you'll get the kind of control you think you'll get with using the fungus.

I've used GA and it's no wonder drug. There are certain seeds that germ a lot quicker with it but it's expensive and the results were not too exciting when I tried it. There are different kinds of GA also.

Adding the Gibberilic acid will cause increased growth. In large amounts it can cause genetic mutations. There's a product on the market that is along the lines of superthrive, and its called super grow or someting of that nature.

>>What will happen if i react citric acid with gibberellin
Probably nothing. GA is a pretty complex molecule full of Carbonyl groups and OH group and COOH groups, if you were to add acid and heat it'd attach an H' to one of the Carbonyl groups, and that could be a starting point to a reaction, but it won't do anything for solubility most likely.
There's really no need to be playing with any of the GA3's as an ameture gardener unless you're working with some experimental or stubborn seeds and know wha tyou're doing or are divising hormone ratios for agar culture.
