Recent Dreams
    #3228957 - 10/07/04 06:21 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

I am a firm believer that in order to follow the right path we must follow intuition and synchronicity. I also believe that dreams are a form of intuition.

This may not be the right forum, but the other night I had a dream of us going to war, and america turning into an all out police state. I felt like not only a victim from the attackers, but from my government aswell at the time.

Then last night, I dreamed of another hurricane, followed by a comet or meteors hitting the earth.

I am not really an end-times consipiricy theorist, and havent had much recently to trigger these dreams IMO. I am wondering what they might be here to teach me, or prepare me for.

Any ideas?

dreams are an interesting thing, i have yet to find a single interpretation or explanation that adaquetly explains all dreams.

I mean yes some are prophetic, others maybe even spiritual contact... some are pure nonsense, and many are formed by our experiences and fears/anticipations throughout the day.

I think your dreams are to be blunt, not a big deal. I mean you dreamt about america being at war, and a police state? wake up dude, america is at war, it is a police state.

You dreamt about hurricanes? theyve been happening all the time.

These kinds of things turn up in your dreams.

The meteor may just be a symbol of a general fear of catastrophe or apocolypse, a common fear in an age of enviromental destruction and nucleur proliferation.

who knows?

basically what im saying is just because you dreamt it, certainly doesnt mean it will come to pass in waking life (although the war and state opression already has)

i mean if dreams were all intuitive i would have been abducted by aliens, thrown off cliffs, eaten by dinosaurs, kidnapped, etc by now

but 99.999% of dreams dont 'come true'

It's important to not automatically assume that destructive events are literal, historic events in the future. Dreams are symbolic in nature. Generally, dreams of destruction tell of individual rebirth. Of course the old must be destroyed before the new can be born, and that can be a painful and excruciating process.

Ultimately, you yourself are the best interpreter of your own dreams since the symbolism involved is often unique to you.

I agree with both Moonshoe and Jellric.

Jelleric is right, it is your own mentqal schemes which serve as the basis for dream and the world it is in. It is an undeniable fact. It is often difficult to untangle even for the dreamer. For one person to interperate annother's dream, they must get into the mind of the other person.

The comet or meteors hitting the earth to me mean a change in the world by external forces (it is a a force which is "extraterrestrial" to the world it will effect).

The America becoming a police state is really happenning and waiting to emerge. It will inevitably happen if no one stops it.

Maybe we should all contribute to the dream thread
Everytime I remember a dream, I'm going to try to post a log there just because it does seem EVERYONE is having weird dreams all the time. They're becoming topics of conversation much more as of late.
