Evening out a casing... post-incubation
    #3228038 - 10/07/04 04:06 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

This is ridiculous I know, but my casing is in the terrarium right now getting ready to knot... It's pretty even all along the sides and everywhere else but there's just one spot in the center that I can't see myc coming out from below yet. Anyone ever remove a little bit of casing mix in a spot that isn't reaching the surface as quickly? It's only been in the terrarium 2 days after 3 days of incubation so it'll probably even itself out anyway; I'm just a pin-perfectionist after reading hyphae's guide. Never heard of this being done...

I agree one spot is nothing to worry about. I hope that moisture content is up there now that pinning has begun because nows the time you don't want to mess with mother natures perfect plan  GL and take care.
